I've been reading Bruce Bingham's wonderful book "The Sailor's Sketchbook". In this book Bingham describes 76 do-it-yourself ideas that just about anyone can do on their boat. There are projects for on deck, rigging and sails, cabin projects, and so on. The sketches in the book feature Bingham's flicka sailboat that he lived on in Mystic Connecticut for many years. The above sketch features a folding table/counter that just about any of us could put to use in our cabin.
Oh, one more thing. Every sketch shows Bingham's cat... and the little stowaway mouse that lived aboard.
